Raconteurs opening selected shows for Bob Dylan

The Raconteurs will open a handful of tour dates for the legendary Bob Dylan this fall. Singer and guitarist Jack White, who idolizes Dylan, had an opportunity to play onstage with his hero in March of 2004 at Detroit's State Theatre, where they jammed on the White Stripes' "Ball And Biscuit." White told us at the time that he couldn't put his feelings about the experience into words: "Oh, man, I don't even, I don't even know how to make a comment about it. I really don't. I wouldn't even know where to start. It's certainly splendid. I think it's better for me to not talk about it, because it's so special to me that I really don't even want to put it into words."

The Raconteurs perform this weekend (August 26th and 27th) at the U.K.'s Reading and Leeds festivals.

The band will return to North America for a series of dates beginning on September 10th at the Virgin Festival in Toronto.

They are supporting their recently released debut disc, Broken Boy Soldiers.

Foo Fighters and Kings Of Leon will also open for Dylan on the rest of his fall trek.
