Rolling Stones drop 2nd Spanish gig
Mick Jagger is still not completely recovered from his recent bout with laryngitis, so the Rolling Stones have cancelled another show. Jagger's lost voice, which forced them to skip the Spanish city of Valladolid on Monday (August 14th), has also claimed Wednesday's (August 16th) performance in Almeria, Spain. Jagger said, "I am very sorry to be canceling this show as well. But unfortunately, I have no other choice, and I apologize to everyone who bought tickets for [Almeria]."The singer is under doctor's orders to rest his voice for a few days.
Mick's laryngtitis is just the latest health-related mishap to occur on the band's Bigger Bang tour. They band postponed the start of the European leg of the tour after Keith Richards suffered a head injury in a fall from a tree in Fiji in April.
The Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang tour is expected to continue as scheduled at London's Twickenham Stadium on Sunday, followed by shows in Glasgow, Sheffield and Cardiff.
The veteran rockers kicked off their world tour in Boston in August 2005 and have since played to more than 4.5 million fans.
Last month the band announced further dates in the US and Canada, which will take them from Boston on 20 September to Los Angeles on 18 November.
