Stone Sour's second album hits stores
Stone Sour released its second album, called Come What(ever) May, on Tuesday, August 1st. The CD is the successor to Stone Sour's 2002 self-titled debut, which featured the hit "Bother." Singer Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root are also both members of Slipknot, and Root told us that it's important for them to progress musically in both bands: "You have to evolve, I mean, and if you don't, then you just end up putting the same record out over and over and over again, and to me that's very boring. I can't imagine any musician who wants to just keep writing the same thing over and over again, and that's something, fortunately, in the career that I've had so far, we've been able to do."
Stone Sour will perform its single "Through Glass" on Thursday, August 8th, when the band appears on NBC-TV's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Corey Taylor recently said that "Through Glass" is based on his reaction to watching a music video channel in a European hotel room.
The band is currently on the road as part of the Family Values tour with Korn, Deftones, 10 Years and others. The tour pulls into Pensacola, Florida on Wednesday, August 2nd.
