Whitesnake caught in London terror alert
Judging by the guys in Whitesnake, the rich and famous don't always get special treatment at the airport. The band wrapped up a long European tour last Wednesday (August 9th) in Birmingham, England, and frontman David Coverdale was scheduled to fly home to Lake Tahoe on Thursday (August 10th). That's the day when British authorities moved against a suspected group of terrorists who were allegedly targeting some US-bound airlines, and the band found themselves stranded in England, just like every other traveler that day. The Whitesnake frontman wrote on the official whitesnake.com message board, "God willing, it will be simply a threat, but obviously this is something that must be taken seriously on every level... My thoughts & prayers to everyone affected by this situation."Coverdale finally made it home on Friday (August 11th), and he's promising to share all the details at a later date of what it was like in England in the midst of the terror situation.
None of the band members were in the air at the time of the arrests.
