Axl Rose sticks to 2006 for new Guns N' Roses album release
Guns N' Roses frontman W. Axl Rose said that the band's long-delayed new album, Chinese Democracy, will be out "this year," according to MTV News. Rose was interviewed backstage at the 2006 Video Music Awards on Thursday night (August 31st) and insisted that the disc would arrive sometime within the next four months, although as usual he declined to give a specific date or even month. Rose, who was at the event to introduce the Killers, also said that Guns N' Roses would begin a full North American tour around October 24th.When asked about Guns N' Roses' own surprise performance at the VMAs a few years back, Rose labeled it a "catastrophe."
GNR will embark on a short run of West Coast dates later this month, beginning on September 16th in Las Vegas.
