Bob Seger chose not to talk about his song "No More" on 9-11 anniversary
Bob Seger released Face the Promise, his first studio album of new material since 1995, on Tuesday (September 12th), the day after the five-year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Although one of Seger's new songs, "No More," links the war in Iraq to America's involvement in Vietnam, the Detroit-based rocker declined to speak about the song on the actual September 11th anniversary this year.
On September 12th, Seger explained to us: "As a matter of fact, somebody tried to bring up 'No More' yesterday, and I said I'm not even going to talk about it today, because this a day to remember the victims and the families and a day to remember, you know, that sort of thing. And to support our troops. You know, and I do support our troops, I just hope that they come home safe, that's my big thing."
Bob Seger will performed on Thursday, September 14th, on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. It was first-ever national TV appearance.
Seger is rehearsing with his Silver Bullet Band, and is hoping to be able to tour later this fall, for the first time in 10 years.
