Bob Seger confirms tour plans
It's official now -- Bob Seger will definitely be on the road this fall with the Silver Bullet Band. Seger made it official on Wednesday night (September 27th) after performing "Wreck This Heart" on The Late Show With David Letterman, when he said the band would kick off a North American tour in the second week of November. There's talk around Detroit that the first show could be at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, though us has also heard that opening night could be in Saginaw, Michigan. The official announcement could come any time now.
Seger told us that his new album Face The Promise was pushed back a few times, which meant he also had to delay the tour: "I was shooting for (last) Christmas, and we just ran out of gas, we just got tired, and we couldn't make it, so we, we put it off. And then they wanted to put it out in March, and (manager) Punch (Andrews) didn't like that idea. Then they wanted to put it out in May and have me tour, and I said, 'I don't want to go into the sheds in May.' So we settled on September. I thought I'd be touring in September, which is now, but obviously that didn't work out."
