Coheed And Cambria singer releasing solo project

Coheed And Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez has started a side project called Prize Fighter Inferno, which will release its debut disc on October 31st. Titled My Brother's Blood Machine, the CD will actually continue the sci-fi storyline that Sanchez has been writing on the previous three Coheed albums, but from the viewpoint of a different character known as the Prize Fighter Inferno. The disc will come out on Equal Vision, the same label that Coheed was signed to before jumping to the majors with Sony Music.

Sanchez played a rare solo acoustic set last Thursday (September 21st) at a club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Sanchez has also written comic books and a graphic novel based on his story, which follows the lives of a family of superbeings.

Coheed And Cambria will also release a new DVD titled The Last Supper: Live at Hammerstein Ballroom on October 31st. The disc will include the band's May 20th performance at the New York City venue, along with three music videos, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and more bonus features.

The band recently replaced bassist Michael Todd and drummer Joshua Eppard with Matt Williams and M.P., respectively.

Coheed plans to work on new music this fall for the follow-up to last year's Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Volume I: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness.
