Happy birthday Meatloaf

Meatloaf is celebrating a birthday on Wednesday, September 27th, though he won't tell you which one. For a lot of people, vanity and fear of aging would make them keep the secret, but Meat Loaf has a completely different reason for doing it. He told us that he lies about the year, and he does it to compete on a level field with some so-called "journalists": "Anywhere from '46 to '54, take your pick. When I'm doing press, I make up stories, 'cause what's the difference in me making up stories, or their making up stories? So I figure, if they can do it, why can't I?"

You didn't hear it from us, but there's a strong possibility that Meat Loaf is 59 today.

Meat Loaf will release a new album on Halloween (October 31st) titled Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose.

He'll perform music from all three Bat Out Of Hell albums in London on October 16th and in New York City on November 2nd.
