Meatloaf out to correct Scarlett Johansson rumour
If rumors are to be believed, Meat Loaf begged actress Scarlett Johansson to sing a duet with him on his upcoming album Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose, but she snubbed him. The story has gone all around the world, but there's a problem -- it's not true. Meat Loaf told us that he did ask Johansson to sing with him on "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," but everything else is wrong: "Scarlett thought about it, and then I think she got nervous about it. And the story went out like this: that I begged Scarlett Johansson to sing on this record, and basically she refused to reply -- in other words, I was a beggar, and she was a bitch. And none of that is true, and it made her look worse than me. I felt bad for Scarlett Johansson, because it made her look just like a really nasty person."
Meatloaf stressed that he would never beg anyone to do anything they didn't want to do. He eventually chose singer Marion Raven for the duet on "It's All Coming Back To Me Now."
Bat Out Of Hell III comes out Halloween (October 31st).
