Motley Crue drummer on double duty with tour and TV show
With the Aerosmith/Motley Crue Route Of All Evil tour now underway, Tommy Lee has possibly replaced James Brown as the hardest working man in show business. In addition to the shows, the Crue drummer is also wrapped up in the last episodes of his Rock Star: Supernova reality TV show with former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and one-time Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. Making matters worse is that the show is done in California, but the tour is East of the Mississippi. Lee told us that his schedule will be insane for the next few days: "Oh, God. I'm gonna be flying out to go do (the tour with) Aerosmith, (then) turn around (and) haul ass, get back to L.A., film the show, go back out to the tour -- like, the last shows are gonna be bananas for me."
The next Rock Star: Supernova elimination show is tonight (Wednesday, September 6th) on CBS. The series finale, during which a singer will be chosen for the Lee/Clarke/Newsted band, is set for next Wednesday (September 13th).
The Aerosmith/Motley Crue tour rolls into Hartford, Connecticut, tomorrow (Thursday, September 7th).
