New Nine Inch Nails in the works?
Nine Inch Nails is reportedly working on material for its next album, according to Punkbands.com. Band leader Trent Reznor is said to be writing songs with an eye toward releasing a new disc sometime next year, although there's been no official confirmation of those plans. Reznor, meanwhile, did post a message at the official Nine Inch Nails website on Monday (September 4th), in which he wrote, "If you have the opportunity, I highly suggest watching Spike Lee's documentary When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts currently playing on HBO. It's a very well done look at what happened and is happening now in New Orleans." Reznor lived in New Orleans for 10 years before moving to Los Angeles in late 2004.
Reznor and Nine Inch Nails played at last year's Voodoo Music Experience, which was the first live music event in the city after Hurricane Katrina.
The next Nine Inch Nails album will follow 2005's With Teeth, which was the group's first collection of new material in six years.
