Pink Floyd drummer pleased to perform with Roger Waters again
Original Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason was Roger Waters' guest performer during a two-night sold-out New York City run which concluded on Wednesday, September 13th, at Madison Square Garden. Mason joined Waters during the second half of the show, which included a performance of group's seminal album Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety. Mason then remained on stage to provide the beats for the concert's hit-heavy encore, which included the songs "Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2," "Vera," "Bring The Boys Back Home," and "Comfortably Numb."The Pink Floyd drummer told us that he was immediately intrigued with the idea of only playing a handful of dates on Waters' current world tour: "He called me up and said would I like to do some shows because I think he thought it would just be a nice sort of twist to the thing to actually have me along for some of the shows. So I've actually done some of the European shows and I'm doing New York which is terrific 'cause it means really I get to play the places I really like to go without actually being on the road for the whole time."
Roger Waters next performs Friday (September 15th) at the Nikon @ Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, New York.
Nick Mason will next perform behind Waters when the tour travels to Los Angeles in early October.
