Rolling Stones not blase about stadium concerts
The Rolling Stones bring their fall tour to Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Wednesday, September 27th. The band is very familiar with the venue, having played there a number of times, but they never take it for granted. Guitarist Ronnie Wood told us that the Stones never get complacent about performing at any venue: "They're still a, a challenge. Whether you're in Giants Stadium, or, you know, in L.A., or what -- New Orleans, wherever, those massive, Superdome-type places, they're all a challenge. And so is the Fox Theatre, you know what I mean?" The Stones recently announced that the final show on this leg of the tour will be November 22nd in Honolulu, Hawaii. There's talk about more dates in Europe next year, to make up for the ones canceled over the summer, but nothing's been confirmed.
Wood released a career retrospective this week called Anthology: The Essential Crossexion.
