Simple Plan taking its time with third album
Simple Plan drummer Chuck Comeau says that while the band is spending most of its time lately just sleeping and relaxing, it is also coming up with songs for the follow-up to 2004's Still Not Getting Any.... Comeau explained on his MySpace blog, "We're finally getting into a groove right now and it's starting to really come together. I'm really excited about the new music. I can't wait for you guys to hear it. Please be patient...it's coming." Meanwhile, guitarist Jeff Stinco said that the new material will keep the vibe of the band's last two releases, but also incorporate some new sounds: "The last two records have been really really good for us. They were quite successful and it's time for us to rethink a few things that we're doing. Not necessarily to make a very big change, but we need to think about, you know, where to go with this next one."
