U2/Green Day studio recording out soon

A studio version of the song that U2 and Green Day performed at the Superdome in New Orleans on Monday (September 25th) will be released in the coming weeks. The track is called "The Saints Are Coming," and the two groups laid it down recently at Abbey Road Studios in London. A post on the official u2.com website says the studio cut will be released as a download at the end of October, with a CD and vinyl single to follow a week later. All proceeds will go to Music Rising, the charity lead by U2 guitarist The Edge, which is replacing instruments lost after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August 2005.
