Vintage KISS gig headed to movie theatres

A vintage Kiss concert will be shown in movie theaters across America in October. The band has unearthed their performance at Cobo Hall in Detroit on January 26th, 1976, and the footage will be screened on October 26th as part of the One Night Only series of theatrical presentations. It was a homecoming of sorts for Kiss, who achieved their first real success in and around Detroit, and who recorded most of their Alive! album at Cobo Hall in 1975. Tickets for the screenings go on sale Friday (September 29th) at bigscreenconcerts.com.

The One Night Only series has included performances by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Jimmy Buffett, David Gilmour, the Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, among others. Rod Stewart will do the next one, on October 9th.
