The Who kick off American tour
The Who kicked of their first U.S. tour in four years last on September 12th at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center. Co-founders Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, who launched the show with a one-two punch of their classic singles "I Can't Explain" and "The Seeker," were joined by their touring ensemble, which includes veteran keyboardist John "Rabbit" Bundrick, drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino, and Townshend's brother Simon on rhythm guitar and vocals. In addition to the 24 shows lined up between now and December, the band has just added an additional 11 shows in the States and one in London.
The Who's North American tour rolls-on on Wednesday, September 13th, in Wantagh, New York at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre.
