3 Doors Down plans new album for 2007
3 Doors Down will take a different approach when it comes to writing and recording its next album. Instead of rushing to lay down tracks like they did with 2005's Seventeen Days, the Mississippi natives want to take their time with the next set. Singer Brad Arnold told Billboard.com that he hopes to start writing within the next month or so and begin the recording process later this year or early in 2007. Arnold added, "We're not going to rush it or try to make one in 17 days again. We're just gonna have fun with it."
3 Doors Down will play its third annual benefit concert on December 2nd in Mobile, Alabama. The event will feature performances by Staind, Hinder and Michael Tolcher, with proceeds going to Hurricane Katrina victims along the Gulf Coast.
