30 Seconds To Mars kicks off tour
30 Seconds To Mars kicks off a new headlining tour on Tuesday, October 17th, in Minneapolis as it continues to support its second album, A Beautiful Lie. Singer Jared Leto told us that the band has met some especially devoted fans during its last year on the road: "People get a lot of tattoos. It's a high compliment that you can pay a band, is getting their artwork tattooed, but recently people have started to get our autographs tattooed on them, and they actually come up and ask me to sign their bodies with a Sharpie, and then the next time I see them, that exact signature has been tattooed. So that's a pretty intense thing."
The new 30 Seconds To Mars trek will run through November 25th in Los Angeles. The support acts are Cobra Starship, Head Automatica and Men, Women and Children.
The group is using vegetable-oil gas for its tour buses in order to make the tour environmentally conscious.
30 Seconds To Mars is also tentatively slated to co-headline the 2007 Taste Of Chaos tour with the Used. The winter version of the Warped Tour will probably begin sometime in February.
30 Seconds To Mars recently selected "From Yesterday" as the next single from A Beautiful Lie.
