Army Of Anyone singer says dad's Halloween story scared him into staying in

Army Of Anyone singer Richard Patrick grew up in the Chicago area and has fond memories of Halloween there. But he told us about one time when he was a little kid that his dad turned Halloween into something more menacing than usual: "My father came home one day, he says, 'You guys getting ready for Halloween?' It's like, 'Yeah, we got our bags and we're gonna get ready,' and I'm, like, nine or something. And he goes, 'Well, listen, um, I don't know if you guys know this, but there's a spirit that lives here and I just saw it, I was driving in, and I don't think you guys should go out there. It's horrifying. The spirit of 10,000 dead souls from all the shipwrecks in Lake Erie. Are you sure you wanna go out there tonight?' And I was like, 'Actually, no.' He's like, 'Dude, I'm just kidding. Quit being such a little kid. What the hell's the matter with you?'"

In addition to Filter frontman Patrick, Army Of Anyone features former Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo and guitarist Dean DeLeo, as well as ex-David Lee Roth drummer Ray Luzier.

The band will begin its first tour on November 18th in Philadelphia. The group plans to include Filter and Stone Temple Pilots material in its set list.

Army Of Anyone's self-titled debut comes out on November 14th. The quartet is releasing a digital EP through iTunes on Tuesday, October 31st, featuring the band's first single, "Goodbye," the song's video and a podcast containing interviews with all four band members.
