Bob Seger booked for world series performance

Bob Seger and John Mellencamp have signed on to perform at the first two World Series games in Detroit this weekend. Seger will kick things off on Saturday, October 21st by doing "America The Beautiful" in front of a hometown crowd at Comerica Park before Game One, and it's his first-ever performance at a major sporting event. Mellencamp will do his new song "Our Country" before Game Two on Sunday (October 22nd), and he'll be joined by the country group Little Big Town for the performance.

R&B singer Anita Baker, who's a Detroit native like Seger, will do "The Star Spangled Banner" ahead of Game Two.

The World Series features the American League Champion Detroit Tigers against the National League Champion St. Louis Cardinals.
