Chris Cornell filming video for James Bond film

Audioslave vocalist Chris Cornell will film a video for his solo song "You Know My Name" on October 10th and 11th in the Los Angeles area, according to Blabbermouth.net. No further details on the shoot are available. The tune will serve as the theme for the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale, which is due in theatres on November 17th. There is no word on whether the video will integrate footage from the movie.

"You Know My Name" is the first song Cornell has ever written specifically for a movie, and the singer told us that he found the assignment challenging: "It is difficult, I think, to write lyrics for a character, so really I just kind of wandered around for about a month not thinking about it too much, until I sort of formulated some idea of a way that I could approach it, where I'm kind of relating to what's in the character in the movie. And because this particular Bond is very edgy, but also has a lot of emotional depth, it's a lot easier."

Casino Royale will introduce actor Daniel Craig as the sixth screen incarnation of the British secret agent.

Audioslave released its third album, Revelations, on September 5th. The band has yet to announce tour plans in support of the record.

Cornell is currently at work on his second solo album.
