Final tracklisting for Guitar Hero II revealed
Kiss, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Rush, Guns N' Roses, Foo Fighters and Nirvana lead the final song list for the soundtrack of Guitar Hero II, the new edition of the popular video game that's due out on November 7th. A total of 40 tracks are included in the game, divided into eight progressively more difficult categories that include "Opening Licks," "String Snappers," "Return of the Shred" and "Face Melters." The game will also feature several "unlockable" bonus tracks.
Other artists with songs featured in the game include Motley Crue, Spinal Tap, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains, Wolfmother, Rage Against The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Megadeth and many more.
Guitar Hero II allows players to play either rhythm, lead or bass guitar. Two players can either play in tandem or face off against each other at the same time. The game also features an all-practice mode for players who just want to hone their chops.
Players start out in bars and clubs but move on to perform in stadiums and arenas as the game progresses.
The first Guitar Hero was one of 2005's best-selling games and voted Best Music Game of that year.
