Godsmack singer joins celeb poker tournament
Godsmack singer Sully Erna is one of the musicians participating in the VH1 Classic Rock 'n' Roll Poker Tournament, scheduled for November 2nd at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley, ZZ Top's Dusty Hill, Scott Ian of Anthrax and top professional players will also participate in the event, with the winner donating a $25,000 check to the charity of his choice.
Two non-celebrity players can compete against the musicians and pros at a qualifying tournament on October 23rd. More information on how to win is available at UltimateBet.tv. The Flamingo has also invited one player to participate alongside the rockers.
In addition to the charity check, a celebrity winner will receive a seat at the Aruba Poker Tournament and a "VJ For A Day" slot on VH1 Classic. A non-celebrity winner will appear as the sidekick to the highest ranking celebrity winner.
The tournament will be taped and air in early 2007 on VHI Classic.
