Guns N' Roses releasing "Chinese Democracy" in November?
A source has told RollingStone.com that Guns N' Roses has set a "firm" release date of November 21st for the band's long-awaited new album, Chinese Democracy. There has been no official announcement from the group's management or record label, with the latter saying that the release date is not confirmed. Lead singer W. Axl Rose has repeatedly said that the disc would be out this year. A recent press release did not specify an arrival date, but hinted that there were "13 Tuesdays" left in 2006. Albums are traditionally released on Tuesdays in America. The record, which has been in works for more than a decade, is rumored to have cost more than $13 million, with Axl reportedly funding a portion out of his own pocket after his label refused to give him more money.
Rose also gradually replaced every single member of the original band, with only touring keyboardist Dizzy Reed remaining from the band's early-'90s heyday.
Guns N' Roses begins a North American tour on October 20th, with dates extending into January.
