HIM issuing alternate mix collection, video archive

H.I.M. will release a compilation of alternate mixes of the band's songs, called Uneasy Listening Vol. 1, on November 14th. The tracks will come for the most part from earlier albums in the band's career, such as Love Metal, Razorblade Romance and Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights. The 15-track collection will include previously unreleased remixes, acoustic versions, string arrangements and a couple of unplugged live performances recorded at radio stations.

Also on the 14th, the band will issue a DVD called Love Metal Archives Vol. 1, which will contain promotional and live videos, as well as previously unreleased footage, from each of the band's albums.

The Finnish outfit's latest studio effort, Dark Light, was its first commercial success in the U.S., recently reaching gold status for sales of more than half a million copies.

The group just canceled a North American tour scheduled for later this month to start work on its next effort.
