Hinder adds to fall tour
Hinder launched a new round of headlining shows last week and is already adding more shows to its expanding fall itinerary. According to LiveDaily.com, the band has extended its road trip into December, when it will play a string of shows with Staind, 3 Doors Down and Three Days Grace, as well as three gigs with Aerosmith. The Oklahoma City rockers have also added a pair of concerts with Breaking Benjamin, Buckcherry and Candlebox to their November schedule.
Bassist Mike Rodden, who joined Hinder a few months after the group got started, told us that he still remembers the first gig he ever played with the band: "It was absolutely terrifying. Mark (King, guitarist) and I, we had like three weeks to learn, like, 12 or 13 songs. I don't know how many it was, but it was like a lot, and we had never heard 'em before, you know. So we had to learn 'em all, and we knew it was for a label. I was kind of nervous until we started playing, and then I just didn't care, you know, like if I messed up, I messed up, whatever. But it was kind of nerve-wracking."
Hinder continues supporting its debut album, Extreme Behavior, which sits at Number Nine on this week's Billboard Top 200. The album sold another 76,000 copies last week and will probably pass the one million mark in sales when the new chart comes out tomorrow (Wednesday, October 25th).
The album's sales were boosted by the hit singles "Get Stoned" and "Lips Of An Angel," with "How Long" the latest track to hit the airwaves.
Most of the group's headlining shows feature support from Eighteen Visions and Lynam. Hinder plays tonight (Tuesday, October 24th) in Tempe, Arizona.
The band will close out its 2006 road schedule with a homecoming show in Oklahoma City on December 30th.
