Killers drink different booze every night on tour
The Smoking Gun Web site has acquired what it claims is an authentic tour rider for the Killers, which shows that the boys from Las Vegas not only like their liquor, but want certain kinds on specific nights. According to the document, the band must be provided with a bottle of Maker's Mark and Absolut on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while they prefer Jack Daniels and gin on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Sunday might be a day of rest for many of us, but it's a day of tequila and Jameson Irish whiskey for the Killers. The band also requires plenty of beer, wine and cider at every show, no matter what day it is.
What's even stranger about all this is that frontman Brandon Flowers is a Mormon and they supposedly don't drink.
The rider also requires items such as one jar of creamy peanut butter, a box of granola bars, bags of tortilla chips, six fresh avocados, twenty lint-free black stage towels and forty lint-free black shower towels.
The Killers are enjoying all that stuff on their current North American tour, which stoped on Wednesday, October 11th, in Vancouver, Canada.
The band's sophomore album, Sam's Town, came out on Tuesday, October 3rd, and is expected to debut near the top of the Billboard Top 200 album chart.
