Korn posts "politics" video online
Korn has posted the video for "Politics," the third single from its See You On The Other Side album, at MP3.com. The clip was shot at an August 26th, 2006 concert in East Troy, Wisconsin, at which the band gave 10 members of its fan club handheld cameras and all-access passes to film the performance as well as backstage footage. As for the song's subject matter, singer Jonathan Davis told us it's not what you might expect: "It's not about governmental politics. It's more about politics of life, like, say, people sleeping with someone to get ahead more in life or get a promotion at a job, or people backstabbing their best friend to get ahead, and stuff like that, stuff that really disgusts me. It's what I was feeling at the moment. I really hate talking about politics, government politics or religion or any of that stuff, because everyone has their opinion. It's just one big argument that goes around in circles and no one's ever gonna win it."
Korn began writing its eighth studio album this week. The band plans once again to collaborate with The Matrix, the songwriting and producing team that worked with the group on See You On The Other Side.
Davis recently revealed that he will embark on his first solo tour in February of 2007, after the band finishes recording its new CD.
A CD/DVD of the band's recently completed Family Values Tour is expected out by December.
