Nickelback announces new winter tour
Nickelback has announced a new headlining North American arena tour that's scheduled to begin on February 20th in Tacoma, Washington. Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin will be along as support on the trek, which will finish up on March 19th in Florida. Information on tickets, including pre-sale dates, will be available at nickelback.com. The trek will be the Canadian group's final batch of live shows in support of its 2005 album, All The Right Reasons.
All The Right Reasons has sold nearly four million copies in the U.S. alone and contains the hits "Photograph," "Animals," "Savin' Me," "Rock Star" and "Far Away."
The album remains in the Billboard Top 20 after more than a year on the chart, selling anywhere between 50 and 60,000 copies a week.
The band's tours in support of the CD have sold 800,000 tickets since the beginning of 2006, the sixth highest amount by any artist in the entire world, according to Pollstar magazine.
The group is nominated for three American Music Awards and will act as presenters at the November 21st ceremony.
