Signed Eric Clapton model guitar in breast cancer auction
An Eric Clapton signature model guitar, autographed by Clapton, is up for auction. It's one of the brand-new "Blackie" guitars that's been recreated from Clapton's black Stratocaster, which was his main instrument in the '70s and '80s. The legend had dinner with some friends of a breast cancer patient in Louisville, Kentucky, and was touched by their stories, so he decided to help raise money to fight the disease, and Fender donated one of the "Blackie" guitars, which Clapton signed. The guitar comes with a hard-shell case and a letter of authenticity, and all proceeds will go to the Louisville chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The auction ends on Tuesday, October 24th, so to get in on the action click here."As of Monday, October 23nd, the guitar had already brought in bids topping $8,000.
