Staind singer working on reality series

Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis is working on a reality TV series called The Crew. Lewis plans to serve as an executive producer on the project, which he described as "not the reality TV we've become so accustomed to. It's actually almost documentary-esque." He added that the show is about the kind of road crew that works for bands like Staind, saying, "Instead of looking for everyone's quirks and faults and pointing out their shortcomings, it's actually giving them the credit they deserve for what they do."

The singer plans to shop the concept to TV networks in the months ahead. One of his producing partners was also an executive producer on Survivor.

Lewis will begin a full-length solo tour on December 27th with a five-night stand at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Casino. He also plans to record his debut solo album, for which he has already written some songs.

Staind's current tour in support of last year's Chapter V album ends on October 8th in Corpus Christi, Texas, after which the band will take a break before beginning to work on its sixth studio effort.

In the meantime, the band will release a CD/DVD collection called The Singles on November 14th. In addition to the group's hits, the package will include songs from a private acoustic gig that Staind played in New York City on September 6th.
