Three Days Grace heads home
Three Days Grace wound up its latest U.S. tour on Wednesday, October 4th, in Belton, Texas, and now goes on a break before trekking across the group's native Canada next month. Frontman Adam Gontier told us that it's always strange to see family and friends again when the band comes home: "A lot of people at home, you know, I think they've assumed that because of our success, or because we've been doing what we've been doing, that we've changed as people, you know. I think that's sort of the biggest thing that we run into, is people at home thinking that we've changed. And we haven't. I mean, we're the same guys, if not more down to earth now because we actually try to be grounded people, you know."
Three Days Grace is originally from the small Ontario town of Petersborough.
The group has two more shows to do before going on vacation for a few weeks: they're opening for the Rolling Stones on Friday (October 6th) and Sunday (October 8th) in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The band's Canadian jaunt begins on November 8th in Toronto.
Three Days Grace has also been doing a series of free concerts at rehab facilities, shelters and detention centers on its latest road trips, with Adam Gontier using Q&A sessions at each event to share his own story of overcoming addiction and getting clean.
Three Days Grace is touring in support of its second album, One X. The latest single and video from the CD is called "Pain."
