U2 wants fans to hunt the lyric
Think you know a lot about U2's music? Then you could be on your way to see the band play the final concert on its Vertigo world tour in Hawaii on December 9th with Pearl Jam. On Monday (October 23rd), U2 will kick off an Internet competition dubbed "Hunt The Lyric," where fans will have two weeks to find U2 lyric snippets on various Web sites, based on clues posted on U2.com. Each excerpt will include a highlighted letter, which will then be used to answer a question. Everyone who gets the correct response will be in the running for an all-expenses paid trip to Honolulu. The winner will be announced on November 6th.
U2's upcoming collection, U218 Singles, arrives on November 21st and will feature the new track "Window On The Sky," as well as the band's collaboration with Green Day on "The Saints Are Coming."
U2 frontman Bono recently helped launch the Red campaign, which is aimed at raising money and awareness to fight AIDS in Africa.
