The Beatles partnering with Mirage for "Revolution" in Las Vegas
The Beatles and Las Vegas' Mirage Hotel are partnering once again, with a new club called The Revolution opening there next month. The Beatles' Cirque du Soleil musical LOVE is now running at The Mirage, and the new adjacent lounge will feature "cutting edge, interactive experiences to create a psychedelic sensory environment and a contemporary interpretation of the Beatles' era. Each night will be an evolutionary journey, where both the music and interior transform, resulting in an eclectic nightlife adventure."
The Revolution lounge will seat 400 patrons and will be open seven nights a week from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. Each night will have a specific musical direction, with the club's DJ's featuring various types of music, from Beatles music to funky lounge remixes, house, rock, electro, new wave, and Brit pop.
Giles Martin compiled and produced the soundtrack to The Beatles LOVE with his father, Beatles producer George Martin. Giles told us that working with his father was both pleasurable and easy: "We get on very well, we're very similar. We're similar but different. And we compliment each other well. I think if we were both 37 (laughs) or if we were both 80, it would be a nightmare - but we're not. When we work together it's not like father and son, if that makes sense."
The 26-track soundtrack to The Beatles LOVE includes such Beatles classics "Because," "Get Back," "Glass Onion," "I Am The Walrus," "Blackbird," "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Tomorrow Never Knows," "Octopus's Garden," "Lady Madonna," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "A Day In The Life," "Hey Jude," "All You Need Is Love," and others.
The Beatles LOVE stage production is now running in Las Vegas at The Mirage.
