Bob Seger loading set list with new material as tour begins
After a 10 year absence, Bob Seger makes his return to the stage on Wednesday, November 8th, at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The tour with the Silver Bullet Band is in support of his new album Face The Promise, and Seger's really excited to get out there. He told us that he and the band have prepped quite a bit of new material for the dates: "We've got about six or seven of 'em in there, you know, and there might be as many as nine. And then I want to do either 'Tomorrow' or 'Satisfied,' one or the other, from the Greatest Hits -- remember, we've never played those live, you know, the two new songs on the Greatest Hits 2? And they're both pretty cool songs, and so I want to do one or the other sometimes, too. I doubt if we'll do more than eight new ones."
Seger originally said the tour would wrap on December 16th, so that everyone could be home for the holidays, after which he'd decide whether to go out again. But he's now got a run of shows to close out December at the Palace Of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and the first four gigs for 2007 have been revealed -- January 16th in Charlotte, North Carolina; January 27th in Boston; February 8th in Dallas; and February 12th in Houston.
