The Bravery announces "surprise" New York show
The Bravery will play a not-so-secret show in its hometown of New York City next month, according to NME. The November 29th gig will take place at the intimate Webster Hall and is expected to feature the live premiere of songs from the band's upcoming second album, The Sun and the Moon. A limited number of tickets are available to the public for the show, which is being billed as a "special event."
A South American tour and possibly some other surprise U.S. shows are also on tap for November.
The Sun and the Moon is due out in early 2007.
According to Billboard, singer Sam Endicott said that the group will move away from its synth-based, dance-rock sound on the new effort, explaining, "We did it to death a little bit. We were a little sick of it. We went so synth-crazy that it got a little boring to us."
The Bravery's self-titled 2005 debut sold 355,000 copies in the States and featured the single "An Honest Mistake."
