Dave Stewart to induct Bon Jovi at the UK Music Hall of Fame
Dave Stewart and Kara DioGuardi of Platinum Weird will be in London during the week commencing Monday 13th November to present Bon Jovi an award at this year's UK Music Hall of Fame Awards, held at Alexandra Palace in London on Tuesday November 14th. The U.K. Music Hall Of Fame ceremony will air in Britain on Channel 4 on November 16th, and on VH1 in America on November 25th.
Other inductees include Led Zeppelin, James Brown, Brian Wilson, Rod Stewart, Dusty Springfield and Beatles producer Sir George Martin.
While he's being honored in the UK, frontman Jon doesn't expect to get the same treatment from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the U.S. A few years ago, he told us it would be nice, but he's not losing any sleep over it: "I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be nice, but you know, that's a boys club too. And the people that run it, they've got their own little agenda. So the truth of the matter is the greatest compliment that I've had is the idea that twenty years and a hundred million albums later -- that's much cooler than anything else."
Dave Stewart was a special guest on Later With Jools Holland on November 3rd on BBC2 TV. Dave introduced a clip from his "Platinum Weird: Rock Legends" rockumentary featuring Mick Jagger, Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox, Elton John and Ringo Starr.
