Deftones extend current tour

Deftones have extended their current North American tour into December as the band continues to support its newly released fifth album, Saturday Night Wrist. The group has confirmed eight new dates for next month, beginning on December 8th in Chicago and ending on the 19th in Minneapolis. The band has also announced a major European jaunt that will begin on March 8th in Liverpool, England. Saturday Night Wrist debuted at Number 10 on last week's Billboard Top 200 album chart, selling 76,000 copies in its first week of release.

Saturday Night Wrist follows the band's 2003 self-titled effort and took over two years to make.

Deftones will also be featured on the Family Values Tour 2006 CD and DVD, which are both due out on December 26th.

The Sacramento-based act plays on Thursday, November 16th, in Houston, Texas.
