Genesis tour drummer in for reunion

More information is coming out about the Genesis reunion, with longtime tour drummer Chester Thompson back in the fold, but former guitarist Steve Hackett isn't involved. A message on chesterthompson.com tells people that the official Genesis announcement is coming next Tuesday (November 7th), and that "exciting times" are ahead. There's been no word on stevehackett.com, but original Genesis frontman Peter Gabriel told the U.K. newspaper The Telegraph that the original plan called for Hackett to be involved, but that's no longer the case.

Gabriel is working on material of his own and he passed on the coming reunion with Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford, and Tony Banks, but he reserves the right to reconsider in the future.
