Goo Goo Dolls bassist is watching you on MySpace
The Goo Goo Dolls have always stayed connected with fans through their web site and concert meet-and-greets. Now with the MySpace craze, the band has yet another way to stay in touch. Bassist Robby Takac told us that he's pretty amazed by the whole thing and even recognizes some of the group's MySpace "friends" at shows: "That is the most interesting thing I've ever done. I ran our web site for years and years, quietly. So I would answer the mail and things like that -- when I did. But what's so weird now is I see these people now. I know what they look like, man. And it's like I walk out onto the stage and I'm like 'Oh my God. I know too much about that dude right there.' You know what I mean? It's so funny."
The Goo Goo Dolls perform in Toronto on Tuesday, November 14th.
They're also playing a benefit concert in Cleveland, Ohio on December 6th to raise money for the Rebecca Reichert Scholarship, which was started at Balls State University.
The Buffalo, New York natives are out behind their latest album, Let Love In.
