Guns N' Roses cancel Milwaukee gig

Guns N' Roses has canceled Wednesday's (November 29th) concert in Milwaukee, Wisconsin because singer W. Axl Rose is suffering from an ear infection and strep throat. Axl was reportedly first diagnosed with his illness on November 20th in Canada and was seen by a doctor in Chicago on Monday (November 27th), who ordered him to rest for a few days. Rose said in a statement, "We had a great show in Chicago tonight and had hoped to do a surprise acoustic show afterwards. I have been fighting this off for a long time but the doctor told me tonight that the only way not to jeopardise the balance of the tour is immediate rest. We will now have three days off before continuing Friday. We are sorry to miss the fans in Milwaukee."

The band's current North American tour is scheduled to resume on Friday (December 1st) in Ames, Iowa.

This is only the second cancellation of the North American run. Earlier this month the group pulled out of a show in Portland, Maine for reasons that have still not been fully explained. Guns N' Roses claimed it was being hassled by fire marshals at the venue over unspecified production issues.

Axl Rose also made news over the weekend by booting opening act the Eagles of Death Metal off the tour after one show.
