Heather Mills discusses split from Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills has finally broken her silence about her split from the ex-Beatle. Mills will appear tonight and tomorrow on NBC-TV's Extra to defend her name and shed new light on the couple's split. The New York Post reported that Mills flew from London to Los Angeles for the interview, because McCartney reportedly has a restraining preventing her from discussing the divorce in the UK.
Mills told Extra that, "If I was a gold digger, I would have a lot of money in my bank account; I'd be worth millions. 85 percent of my income goes to charity. The word 'gold digger' doesn't go with that."
She went on to say that, "I fell in love for the right reason. I fell in love unconditionally. I'm a good mother, I'm a good person." When asked if she would ever consider getting married again Mills quickly answered, "Never!"
Mills, who has often been portrayed as cold and humorless by the press, said that, "Of course I have a sense of humor. People don't get to see that side of me." She went on to add that the various soft porn photos of her that circulated in the press earlier this year were originally intended for "educational purposes."
The two-part interview with Heather Mills will air on Monday and Tuesday (November 20th and 21st) on NBC's Extra. Check your local listings for stations and times.
Macca and his now estranged wife met at a charity event in 1999 and were married in 2002. The couple is currently sharing custody of their three year old daughter, Beatrice.
Meanwhile:
The fan website maccareport.com reported that the McCartney-sponsored traveling photo exhibition, titled Each One Believing and featuring shots taken during his 2002-2003 world tour, has pulled all photos featuring Heather Mills. Mills accompanied McCartney on the tour, and was included in about 20 photos taken by his official photographer Bill Bernstein, all of which have been pulled from the exhibition.
A coffee table book featuring the photos, also called Each One Believing, was released in 2004. So far, there's been no word as to whether future printings of the book would also omit the photos featuring Mills.
