Jimmy Eat World reissuing first 2 albums
Jimmy Eat World will reissue its first two albums next spring, according to Alternative Press. 1996's Static Prevails and 1999's Clarity will both arrive on May 15th, 2007, with each containing rare and previously unreleased bonus tracks selected by the band members themselves. The new editions of the albums will be timed to coincide with the band's summer 2007 tour and the release of the group's yet-to-be-titled fifth CD, which is currently being recorded.
The reissues will feature several songs originally issued on seven-inch singles, along with a previously unreleased demo track. Some of the songs were previously available on a now out-of-print singles collection.
Some additional songs will be available through iTunes, Best Buy or the Jimmy Eat World web site.
The group began recording its next album in August with producer and Garbage drummer Butch Vig, who produced Nirvana's Nevermind.
