Lostprophets want to speed up next album
Lostprophets guitarist Mike Lewis told Gigwise.com that the band plans to record and release its fourth album before the end of 2007. Lewis said that he wants the recording process to go much faster this time, explaining, "We're gonna start writing the next record in February, March. In the past we've always toured, taken a break to write and record a record and then toured again. But with our next record we're not gonna do it that way...hopefully we're gonna record the album in May or June. We just wanna do the next record very different."
Lewis added that although the band's debut album took two weeks to record, its second and third efforts each took a year.
The Welsh band's third CD, Liberation Transmission, came out in June and followed its 2004 sophomore set, Start Something.
Lostprophets recently completed a U.S. tour that was hastily arranged after a previously scheduled trek with H.I.M. and Papa Roach was scrapped when H.I.M. pulled out.
The group begins a run of U.K. and European dates on Thursday, November 23rd, in England.
