New Modest House songs appear online

Live versions of several new Modest Mouse songs have found their way online thanks to footage of the band shot at some recent West Coast shows, according to Pitchfork Media. Clips of the band performing older tunes such as "The World At Large," "Dramamine" and "Float On," along with footage of new material, surfaced last week at sites like YouTube. The clips also feature the first footage taken of new Modest Mouse member and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.

The new Modest Mouse album, titled We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, will be released sometime early next year.

The new CD follows up the band's 2004 commercial breakthrough, Good News For People Who Love Bad News.

The band is on the road through January and began a five-night stand in New York City on Monday, November 13th.
