Oasis guitarist shows up for documentary premiere
Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher showed up in New York City on Saturday (November 4th) for the world premiere screening of a new documentary about the band called Lord Don't Slow Me Down. According to NME.com, the film follows the band while on the road during last year's Don't Believe The Truth world tour. Gallagher participated in a question-and-answer session after the movie was shown. Among other things, Gallagher was asked if he really believed that Oasis was the greatest band in the world, as he once claimed in an interview. Gallagher replied, "I only go by what's on the charts. I'm not interested in what's hip to music critics."
When asked about his often turbulent relationship with his brother, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, the guitarist said it was "as good or bad as it ever was."
There's no word on when or if the movie will be distributed in U.S. theatres. Oasis releases a greatest hits collection called Stop The Clocks on November 21st.
