Pantera drummer and Mudvayne members team up in new band

Former Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul has teamed up with Mudvayne singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett in a new band called Hell Yeah. According to Blabbermouth.net, the group's lineup is filled out by guitarist Tom Maxwell and bassist Jerry Montano of Nothingface. The band has been writing and recording material in Dallas, Texas, with the aim of releasing its debut album in March of 2007.

Hell Yeah is also expected to begin a headlining tour in March, but there is no confirmation of this yet.

Vinnie Paul has jammed intermittently at various live shows but has not performed full-time since the December 2004 shooting death of his brother and bandmate, guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

Hell Yeah's activities will not affect Gray and Tribbett's status with Mudvayne, which has been writing songs for its fourth album in recent weeks.
