Paul McCartney to greet fans next week in New York city

Paul McCartney will be signing copies of his new classical album and concert DVD next week in New York City. Macca will appear at the Times Square Virgin Megastore on Monday (November 13th) and will greet fans and autograph copies of his new classical album, Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) and his concert DVD Paul McCartney: The Space Within Us, which will officially be released the following day.

McCartney will be signing between noon and 1:30 p.m. and will only autograph the classical album and new concert DVD. Fans are being asked to show up at the store at 8 a.m. to receive a wristband to hold their spot to meet McCartney.

The following night (Tuesday, November 14th), Macca will attend the North American premiere of Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) at Carnegie Hall.

The upcoming Paul McCartney: The Space Within Us DVD includes 22 songs performed live on his 2005 U.S. tour, featuring such Beatles classics as "Magical Mystery Tour," "Good Day Sunshine," "Hey Jude," "Helter Skelter," "I Will," "Got To Get You Into My Life," "Drive My Car," "Please Please Me," "Fixing A Hole," "Eleanor Rigby," "Penny Lane," "Yesterday," and "Get Back," as well as a handful of solo tracks, including songs from his Grammy nominated album Chaos And Creation In The Backyard.

We asked Macca how he decides what songs make the cut in his live shows: "You've just got to judge it between rare and stuff that people still know. If you just do a whole big bunch of songs that nobody knows, that's kind of all right for a club. But I think when you've got these big arenas, I've gotta give 'em a kind of night out that I would want. So that includes hits. We do some that they don't know so well and then some that they know all too well."
